Québec was first introduced to Brigitte Boisjoli during the 2009 edition of Star Académie. Her album Fruits défendus, released in 2011, earned her the Félix for Revelation of the Year. She then went on to perform in major shows, collaborate with other artists and release tribute albums, including one to Patsy Cline in 2016 (Félix Album of the Year - Reinterpretation), to Plamondon in 2017 and to the great ladies of country music in 2019.

Éléonore Lagacé first appeared on our screens in 2014 on La Voix, when all four judges turned their chairs for her performance. Since then, she has been seen everywhere, whether on the Ultimate David Bowie tour, in numerous successful musicals (Footloose, Grease, etc.), as well as alongside her mother Natalie Choquette and her sister Florence K, in the show Telle mère, quelles filles. She was also a contributor to Sucré Salé and a finalist on Big Brother Célébrités 2.

Audrey-Louise Beauséjour has literally conquered the hearts of Quebecers since her performance of Lady Gaga's "I'll Never Love Again" during her audition for Star Académie 2022. Her performance left quite an impression with many people, including our spokesperson Patrice Bélanger, predicting her to be the winner. Before this notable appearance, we had seen her on the small screen, notably on L'École des fans and La cour des Grands, alongside Gregory Charles. She will collaborate with him again, as she has landed the role of Liesl von Trapp, the eldest of the Trapp family, in the classic musical The Sound of Music.

The Gatineau native Romie Lacasse is a promising young singer-songwriter with a passion for all art forms, including singing, piano, dance, musical theatre and improvisation. She was selected by the FMG with her performance of "Montgolfière" at the regional finals of Secondaire en spectacle. In addition to taking part in the Rendez-vous panquébécois, she will also be at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, having won the "Jamais trop tôt" award.

Salebarbes will also be part of this evening, as well as a huge Comedy gala hosted by Alexandre Bisaillon with Laurent Paquin, Guillaume Pineault, Michelle Desrochers and Mona de Grenoble.

With 35 days to go before the 35th edition, discover the opening acts for the Musical matinees

On Saturday, September 3rd, at 6:20 am, festival-goers attending Laurence Jalbert's Musical matinee will be treated to violinist Carolyn Xiao and pianist Ryan Shen's performance. Both are students of the Conservatoire de musique and winners of the 2022 edition of the Secondaire en spectacle regional final. The next morning, still at sunrise, Blainville pianist Mathieu Bourret will offer neoclassical pieces from his album Le Climatologue, released in 2021 and composed to reflect the seasons. This will set the table for Matt Holubowski's folk tunes and the hot air balloon flight that will follow his performance on Sunday September 4th.
